Description
Queen butterflies are cousins of Monarch butterflies as they both depend on milkweed to complete their lifecycles. In the caterpillar stage, the most obvious difference is that Queens have three sets of filaments, while Monarchs have two sets. Both wear distinctive yellow, black and white striped suits. The Queen larvae often have a rosy color where the filaments connect to the caterpillar’s torso.
As an artist, passionate butterfly gardener, butterfly whisperer, caterpillar wrangler, and student of nature, I enjoy sharing and teaching about my passion through my photography. Thank you for joining me here on this flight into print on demand. More of my artwork can be found on nancydenmark.com.
Ordering Tips: Use the slider to scale images on the product to suit your taste (not recommended on large home decor products). Buyers may also change background color where applicable. The image on this mug makes a complete photo wrap. When selecting t-shirt styles, the widest array of colors are available under Men's (regular fit) which are really unisex. Be aware that the sizing of Women's T-Shirts run very small.
